Vista taxes all but the most modern PCs with hefty processing and memory requirements. Many of GM's PCs can't even run the system. "By the time we'd replace them, Windows 7 might be ready anyway,"
I predicted this from the beginning. Vista is great for home users. I have it, I love it! But its way too taxing for corporate computers. I've never understood why normal data processing companies always upgrade their system. Why do they need a 3Ghz, 2GB Ram machine when all they do is 90% office apps and some internet - no gaming, no video?? So why would they need Vista? But like I said, nothing against Vista - I love it for home use. Thoughts?
99% of business users only need an office suite and an internet browser...end of story.
The only thing a business operating system needs to do is to keep itself running efficiently and keep track of files; it doesn't need to offer cool screensavers or games or slide-shows or "helpful tips" or any of the nonsense that we see with Vista.
